On a recent visit to Portland, OR, I took a day trip to Cannon Beach on the Oregon Coast. What a delightful little community it is! The group I was traveling with allotted an hour for lunch. I found food in short order – literally. A tasty bowl of clam chowder and a small salad. That left me with 40 minutes to either SEE some art or MAKE some art. I flipped open my sketchbook and pulled out my paints and enjoyed capturing the outside of Steidl’s Art Gallery. I only wish I’d had time to see what’s inside, too. Ah, well…next time!
