I bought these sunflowers at the outdoor market in Saint Remy de Provence, and gifted them to our hosts at Mas Saint Antoine on our departure. I also created and gave them this sketch – which was certain to last longer than the flowers themselves. Mas St Antoine is a collection of guest houses (gites) near Rognonas just outside Avignon in the Provencale region of France. We’ve stayed there a number of times in recent years and always enjoyed the warm hospitality of Kerrin and Keryn.

I am an Appreciative Adventurer - finding joy and beauty everywhere I am and everywhere I go. In art, as in life, I am drawn to express the up side, the sunny side, the inspiring message that life is good. I hope others feel encouraged and heartened for having been in my presence and in the company of my work.
