I purchased these sunflowers at the outdoor market in Saint Remy de Provence. They looked beautiful in the deep blue vase, so I popped them into the open window frame next to the blue provencale shutters and got out my paints. Painted in the private courtyard of Chez Pauline, one of the guest houses at Mas St Antoine, near Rognonas just outside Avignon, France.
