This is the private beach owned by La Tonnarella, the villa in which we stayed when we visited Sorrento. You access the beach by riding down several stories in a private elevator, and descending to the water via a winding stairway. Surrounded by flowers, climbing vines, rocks, a beach pebbled with sea glass, and the sound of the pounding surf, it’s a wonderful place to relax to read or sketch or daydream at large.
