I sketched this lavender field looking through the second story window on a recent visit to St Paule de Mausole, in St Remy de Provence. This monastery and psychiatric health institution was where Van Gogh received treatment. This is also where he created several of his most famous paintings. It was fun to mix my paints and think about him mixing his so many years ago.

I am an Appreciative Adventurer - finding joy and beauty everywhere I am and everywhere I go. I hope others feel encouraged and heartened for having been in my presence and in the company of my work.
