Cassis is one of the prettiest harbor villages in the south of France. Situated right on the Mediterranean, east of Marseille and south of Aix-En-Provence, it features a colorful promenade along the harbor and offers boat trips into the nearby Calanques. This image was painted on a sunny day in May, as we lunched on Salade Nicoise at Brasserie Glacier.

Thanks, everyone, for your kind comments on this piece. The first reproduction of this image went to California - and now this one is headed to the east coast and Charleston, West Virginia. I still remember the warm, sunny day I painted it and we enjoyed a wonderful lunch along the waterfront in the south of France. Would love to be there again today!
