These calla lilies graced our back deck for most of the summer of 2016. I potted up a collection of scrawny dried up bulbs early in the spring, not expecting much by way of results. However, they surprised me with their strong stalks, graceful blooms, and stunning colors. As the blossoms moved past their prime, they morphed into even interesting shapes - far too beautiful to cut down and cast away.
