This whimsical painting was inspired by a huge weeping willow on one of the big lawns at the Edwards Gardens in Toronto. It's a beauty, and if you had to choose a spot to place a cottage, near the arms of this friendly giant would be ideal. I started this piece during a Plein Air Watercolor Workshop I took from Toronto wc artist, Barry Coombs. He is a great coach to help with simplifying scenes and shapes and playing with a whimsical cubist approach to painting.
