Nothing says 'Dutch' better than a windmill - unless it’s a round of gouda or edam cheese. I sketched these beauties at Kindersdijk, Netherlands, on a stop there during our Rhine River cruise. The history of the use of windmills in recovering land from the sea is a fascinating story.
