I've been dreaming about the Blue Ridge Mountains ever since I first heard them mentioned in John Denver's song, Country Roads, so many moons ago. It was a thrill to see them for myself during a recent drive along the North Carolina section of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Many of the lookouts are now overgrown with trees, but there are some places where you can still find awesome views into the distance. This was one of them.
