I could just have easily called this sketch Cheese Plate. My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the Old Vines Restaurant at Quail's Gate Winery in Kelowna, BC. When he decided to finish with the Cheese Plate, I knew we'd be another half hour. So that's when I pulled out the sketchbook and captured this view looking over top of the vines and down the Okanagan Lake valley. It was the scene we had enjoyed throughout our dinner.

I am an Appreciative Adventurer - finding joy and beauty everywhere I am and everywhere I go. In art, as in life, I am drawn to express the up side, the sunny side, the inspiring message that life is good. I hope others feel encouraged and heartened for having been in my presence and in the company of my work. With pen or brush in hand, with paints and paper in front of me, I am easily captivated by the moment - and just plain happy! Splash and squiggle is how I work. Ink and watercolor is where I live.
