Painting - Watercolor & Ink
Description
Situated on a 150 meter high hill, Convento De La Popa is visible from most parts of Cartagena, Colombia. Founded by the Augustine fathers in 1607, its name means Convent of the Stern because the hill resembles the back end of a ship. I sketched this scene while we were awaiting our carriage tour of the Old Town.
